England’s oldest town is full of memorizing sites and culture. It has so much to offer like where Lewis Carroll took the real Alice in Wonderland and where CS Lewis and JRR Tolkein taught in colleges. Besides these reasons above, these are the top reasons why everyone should visit Oxford.

1. Covered Market

It is in the middle of the city! The market is always an attraction that has various items like local crafts, jewellery, fashion, shoes, flowers, food & drinks.

2. Harry Potter

Some of the scenes in the Harry Potter series were filmed in Oxford like the New College, Blenheim Palace and Bodleian Library. Not to mention the Great Halls is a replica of the Christ Church.

3. Ashmolean Museum

You can get lost in here for hours! This museum was the first public institution of its kind in England when it opened in 1683.

4. Pitt Rivers

It has the best archaeology and anthropology. The museum displays archaeological and ethnographic objects from all parts of the world!

5. Museum of Natural History

This museum is divided into three sections: Earth Collections covering of Paleontological collections and mineral and rock collections, Life Collections (which include zoological and entomological collections), & the Archive Collections. But most importantly…it displays dinosaurs.

6. South Park

You get an amazing view of Oxford from here! It is a beautiful place to stroll, photograph or draw. It is one of the best places to see landscape in Oxford.

7. Food

Oxford has so many different restaurants to eat at that are delicious. It will be hard to make a decision between the Oil Thai, Yeti, Big Bad Breakfast or any other choices. But you have to end your meal at George & Davis’ for the best ice cream in the city.
