Thanksgiving in London

Posted by Horace in Travel Stories

In London alone there are roughly 50,000 Americans living, working and studying. That’s a lot of expats! Perfect for Thanksgiving in London.

So if you’re from across the pond and decided to venture across the pond, then you’re in good hands. You’ll never be too far from another American. And if you happen to be here during the lead up to the holiday season, then keeping the tradition of Thanksgiving alive may become a top priority.

Let’s face it, regardless of where you may be living, some turkey, pumpkin pie and a few hours of football (the American kind that is), is something that must happen on that 4th Thursday in November.

You can find turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and even the ingredients to make pumpkin pie at most local shops. In fact, here’s a great recipe for pumpkin pie.

If you’re interested in leaving the dishes to someone else, then fear not! There are MANY restaurants and bars across London that partake in the Thanksgiving feast each year. Some of them even stream football. So kick back and relax. Check out our list of places to celebrate Thanksgiving in London below! And let us know how you’ll be spending the holidays this year in the comments.

Red Rooster – Shoreditch

One of our favorite spots has a Thanksgiving feast fit for a king! From deviled eggs to chicken and waffles, the 3 course meal will leave you stuffed. They’ve even got a few screens with football on in the background.
