O’Neill’s – Soho

If you are looking for a classic college pub experience, check out O’Neill’s. Upstairs is a combination of a dance floor and bar, which gives a more of a night club vibe. The music is a range from the most recent popular hits on the radio to throwbacks from the 90’s. If you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, the first floor offers a solid British pub scene.

Roxy

Tuesdays are the best nights to go. All types of pop songs are played, ranging from 80’s classics to UK’s top 40. The infamous cocktail pitchers are half price on Tuesdays, which is why you’ll find many college students from the area flocking to this place.

Piccadilly Institute

Piccadilly institute is a club that will make everyone in your group happy. The club has six different themed rooms based on different concepts: the Chamber, Clinic, Decadia, Fruitbox, Noir, and Shrink. Each room has a different vibe to it: Decadia consists of a dance floor playing classic 90’s hits, whereas the Fruitbox is a floral themed cocktail bar. Self-proclaimed, “twisted and gorgeous,” Piccadilly Institute offers six completely different going out atmospheres, which offers a good time for all types of partygoers.

Tiger Tiger

This place wears many hats. A great location to have a birthday dinner and an even better place to party. Tiger Tiger has six different rooms: Tiger Bar, Tiger Grill, Cloud Lounge, Groovy Wonderland, White Room, and Opal Bar. Each room has a specific theme, whether you want to eat dinner at the Tiger grill or have a drink in the Cloud lounge, or dance in the “Ibiza” themed White Room.

CAMDEN

Koko

Club Koko is a popular dance club/music venue scene for international students as well as locals. The venue is designed to look like a theatre and has a wide range of artists that perform almost every night of the week. Koko is also in the centre of Camden, so it’s best to go to pubs beforehand since the drinks at Koko tend to be a bit pricey. If you love live music as well as dancing, go to Koko.

Camden Assembly

Formerly the Barfly, Camden Assembly is a dark music venue; stage in the front, bar in the back. A DJ plays on the first floor and live music is played on the second. Checkout Friday nights starting at 10pm, ending at 3am, where new artists as well as established artists, play live till early in the morning. If you are into the indie rock scene, barfly is your spot.

Proud

The Horse Hospital, The Stables Market, Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 8AH

The club is located in the Stables Market in Camden. The club design takes on its location literally, which consist of the tables at the club being legitimate old horse stables. Aside from the stables, the dance floor has a huge stage that hosted performers such as Dizzee Rascal, Pete Doherty, and the Kooks… obviously this is a pretty trendy spot with not a bad cover charge.

Oval Space

Oval Space is a venue located a short walk away from Cambridge Heath station. This is your stereotypical East London warehouse space but with a hugely experienced ‘oval space music’ team cherry picking the best promoters and dj’s for your pleasure. Do a little research, choose your night and have a blast! It also has an art gallery and two beautiful outside terraces.

Notting Hill Arts Club

Billed as a creative arts space, expect an awesome blend of world and current music. The indie night ‘Disco Death’ is a great Wednesday night option. A two minute walk from the station, trendy(but open minded) crowd and an accessible music policy makes this is a safe option for a cracking night.
