Some of the local hot spots will be pointed out to you, including bustling markets, souvenir shops, beautiful architecture and a heap of street food!
You then have a free evening to do some exploring on your own – take advantage of your first Greek sunset!
Start the day with breakfast at your accommodation.
Today, you will visit all the major sites of Athens! The first is the Acropolis – an ancient citadel – followed by the Parthenon temple, dedicated to the goddess Athena. As you move through the Golden Age of Greece, you will next see the Temple of Zeus and the Acropolis Museum. You will then have some free time to see the Greek National Parliament and the 1896 Olympic Stadium, the stage of the first Olympiad!
After a (well deserved) lunch break, you will have a free afternoon and evening to continue exploring
Today we start out in Athens and finish in Ios!
Take a morning ferry with your guide to the island of Ios (sunbathing on the upper deck optional!). Transfer from the port to Paradise Beach Apartments where our local hosts will great you! It’s just a 3 minute walk to Mylopatas beach, so take a stroll or just relax poolside. The bar will be open!
The next day – become an honorary Greek. as you take part in a cookery class led by a real local! Afterwards, relax by the pool or walk into town. You may also take an optional boat trip aboard a zodiac, to remote beaches – the choice is yours. In the early evening we walk up to Chora and watch the sunset from the hilltop (absolutely stunning). The village tavernas and restaurants open doors to mouth watering cuisine. Then experience a bit of the nightlife that Ios is famous for!
Today, we make our way to Santorini by ferry.
Once you check in it’s time to enjoy the sunset that Santorini is famous for and grab those amazing Instagram pics! The rest of the night is yours for the taking.
The next day, we discover the wonders Santorini on a whole island tour. We start at Oia, Santorini’s most picturesque (and famous) villages. We also visit the ancient site of Akotiri, ancient settlement of the Minoans and quite possibly the lost city Atlantis! We also visit the Red Beach before stopping at Perissa for lunch. Eat at the beachside restaurants, or pull up a beach chair and have your waiter serve you there.
On our final day in Santorini, we talk a volcano boat trip! Shimmering blue seas surround you before arriving at the crater to explore the volcano’s primordial surface. On our way back, jump in (if you dare), and experience the hot spring’s that warms the Aegean sea.
We than travel back to Athens for your final day.
Sadly, all good things have to come to an end! It is time for you to say good bye to your new friends and wonderful guide, and head onto the next adventure.
