Day 1: Venice
Your SomewhereNew guide will meet you at the accommodation. After check-in, you’ll get to spend your afternoon and evening in magical Venice. Get lost in its alleys, enjoy the unreal atmosphere of a city suspended between the sea and the mainland. Look out onto the city from the famous “liagò”, small covered balconies overlooking the city, discover its secret passages and peepholes. You’ll keep falling in love with Venice.
Day 2 and 3: Florence
By lunchtime we’ll get to Florence from Venice. It’s amazing how a single city can be so crammed with art and history! For decades, Florence has been the most important cultural hub in Europe. It’s a sweet life what still flows within its tiny alleyways, between a wine shop and a typical street food stall. Enjoy the buzzing nightlife in Santo Spirito where the true Florentines gather for the sacred aperitivo, be amazed by the overwhelming heritage the city of the Cupola has to offer, delve into a Dan Brown-like scenery and let yourself be intrigued by the mysteries and the secrets of a stunning city. Our guides will be there for you!
Legend has it that Michelangelo himself, after seeing the Cupola before heading to Rome and starting to work on St. Peter’s Dome, once said “I’m going to build its sister, bigger indeed, but not more beautiful”.
Day 4 and 5: Rome
Off to Rome! After more than 2,000 years, words by the Latin poet Horace are still true: “you will never see something greater than Rome”.
The eternal city will conquer you from the start: its light, its people, its art, its history are something that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Our guides will show you the beauties of the Trevi Fountain, you will stand in the middle of the Colosseum, a playground where gladiators would fight to death to please emperors and senators, you will walk in the tiny streets of Trastevere and wonder how a city can contain so many layers of history and things yet to be discovered.
You’ll get to visit the Vatican too, a tiny little country on its own within the territory of Rome and visit the Vatican Museum, one of the richest and most stunning art collection in the world.
You won’t be the same after seeing Rome!
Day 6 and 7: Pompeii and Amalfi Coast
From Rome we travel by train to Naples which is our base for exploring Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast.
Pompeii is an experience you won’t forget. More than 20,000 people caught dead in their tracks as a volcanic eruption shook their city in 79 A.D. You will see perfectly preserved villas graced with beautiful mosaics, a whole city frozen in time awaits. You will also get to see a panorama more beautiful than your dreams: colourful houses nestled on the Amalfi Coast overlooking a shining sea. A scent of lemon lingers on this sun-kissed land and you’ll be absolutely bedazzled by how everything is so absolutely perfect here.
The tour ends in the morning. Depart from Naples for your individual fligths back.
