Somewhere New to “try some Guinness!”
Dublin is calling your name. Enjoy a walking tour where you will see Ha’Penny Bridge, Trinity College & Dublin Castle and spend the night out in Temple Bar. Visit the dramatic Cliffs of Moher & the Burren, a land steeped in the ancient history of Ireland. Spend the night in Galway, the birthplace of the traditional Claddagh Rings, and visit a 6th century Clonmacnoise Monastery as well as a more modern site, the Guinness Storehouse.
Return airfare to Ireland, overnight accommodation in Dublin and Galway, coach transport, visits to the Cliffs of Moher, Galway, the Burren, entrance to Clonmacnoise and the Guinness Storehouse and a full time tour manager.
8:30am- Meet your Somewhere New guide at London Gatwick Airport.
12:00- Welcome to Dublin! Arrive in Dublin and depart Dublin Airport for the hostel.
13:40- Arrive at the hostel to check in and drop off luggage.
14:00- Go grab a quick bite to eat before a walking tour.
15:00- We will embark on a walking tour that includes Ha’Penny Bridge, Trinity College, and Dublin Castle. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore Temple Bar, an area on the south bank of the River Liffey, but there is an actual Temple Bar as well! The remainder of the evening is at your leisure.
8:00-Depart Dublin by Coach for a fun-filled day.
9:30-We will make a quick stop for coffee and tea near Athlone town, which is situated on the River Shannon. We will then begin our trip to the dramatic Cliffs of Moher, where you will climb through the ancient history of Ireland. On our way to the cliffs, we will have the chance to see Dun Guaire Castle, built by the O’Hynes Clan in 1520, in Kinvara. You will also see Ballyvaughan and the 2000 year old magical Fairy Fort of Bally Alban. Next we’ll visit the Poulnabrone Dolmen, one of the most ancient religious sites in Ireland at 5800 years old.
13:45- Lunch will be in the fishing village of Doolin where you can eat seafood chowder at Gus O’Conner or some delicious fudge at Doolin’s chocolate shop.
14:45- Arrive at the Cliffs for breath taking views.
15:45- Depart Cliffs of Moher to Galway via the Coast Road with spectacular views over the Aran islands and Galway Bay.
17:30- We will check into our accommodation before spending the night in Galway, the birthplace of the traditional Claddagh Rings.
8:45- Check out and depart Galway.
10:00- First stop after leaving Galway is Clonmacnoise, a monastery that overlooks the River Shannon in County Offlay. You will see ruins of a cathedral and the largest collection of Early Christian graveslabs.
13:30- You will then be transported to more modern times with a visit to Guinness Storehouse. Cheers to a weekend in Ireland!
16:10- Depart Guinness Storehouse and head back to London via your flight.
18:50- Depart from Dublin Airport to London Gatwick.
20:10- Arrive at London Gatwick.
